The spot for my 😍 candy is tied between Pan Pasand & Swad.
Candies are tasty boiled sweets that pop in your mouth, exploding with flavors… While horrible for your teeth, eating them is like going on a delicious adventure! And, of course, the sugar blast makes everything better, doesn’t it?
Pan Pasand was a candy by Ravalgaon, a Maharashtra – based company. Bright red in color, it had the robust flavor of sweet paan (betel leaf)… Betel leaves have been traditionally used, in India, to heal wounds!
Swad, on the contrary was a digestive drop. It was made by Panjon, a Madhya Pradesh – based company… It was delicious and left a tingling taste in the mouth! A little sour, a little sweet.
In my childhood, I relished both these candies a lot… I was doubtful if either of them was even available anymore but I did find them on Amazon!
